The number printed on the file tells us the number of granites there are per square centimeter. Therefore, if the number is lower it means that the grain is coarser and more aggressive for the nail. If the number is higher, the file will be finer and smoother.

• 80, 100 and 120: Used for acrylic or gel nails. Forget about using them with your natural nail if you don't want to damage it.

• 150: Medium grit. They are used to reduce the nail.

• 180: This is the most common grit, ideal for natural nails.

• 240: These files are used for final finishing and polishing natural nails.

• 400 and 1200: These are the finest grains that are usually used to give shine to the nail.

• Buffer: Use to give shine to nails. It also worked to polish acrylic.
